Just make sure you are using a epoxy resin not polyester. I was going to make carbon fiber/fiberglass hoods, but not 1st generations ones...yet. That is if people want to pony up the money for a hood, some people get real tight assed about things when push comes to shove.

not to large of area's,,the way i go about making mostly scoops, spoilers,

is the way a surf board is made, foam, shaped, cloth, resin, i can repair

Im FAR from into carbon fiber, as a matter or fact, its a gimic that Im shocked has caught on so much, as far as weight goes, there is no advantage over fiberglass, carbon fiber is a stuctural thing, so its only a gimic that attracts people, it looks "cool" to some people to have a carbon fiber hood, and if they like that, so be it. Me, I like my **** painted know what IM saying? I do glass for a living, and if your glassing to metal, you should use a epoxy resin instead of polyester, the matting is the same, and you can still use body filler after. The epoxy gives a better bond, I know it takes longer to dry and is a bit harder to wet out. You could make your scoops from polyester, then just use the epoxy to bond it to the metal.

Thats a good idea to get another lid,,the $ 10.00 is for each lid,,get it ??

thats just what i'll ask for each job,,2 lids can be sent through the u.s. mail

in an envolope, much cheaper then going the UPS route,,the wieght i would

think is about 2-3 LBS,,It goes like this,,,,send a money order with the lids,

what it cost you to send here, add that cost for the return,,,,go to the post office first, with both lids in an envolope, ask the clerk for a total $$$ to send that envolope to san diego ca.then get a money order for $ 20.00,,--

plus the return postage ( example) $ 2.29 return postage,,for a total of

$22.29 ( end example) make sure the return address is on the envolope.

and your good to go,,,bro,, i'll pm you my address, when you make up your

minds,,cool .,
