Guys,
Checking out the asian forums for news I found info and pictures of the lancer 9....
Apparently, artical was written on 12-24-04. It's in Jap so all you ppl who can read Jap, feel free to chime in on what it's saying...

狙いはシンプル。「前後外観を一新し、走りの性能はMRをベースに、MIVECターボエンジンを新たに搭載 し全域高性能を現。動力性能における走りの質感を向上した」というもの。まさにランエボらしい進化といえ る。
つまりコンセプトは不変ながらも、今回も確に性能を一歩前進させた、ということだ。開責任者である（乗 用車開本部 藤井氏）がまず強調したのは、見 た目における部分について。とくにリアまわりにしては、「今まであまり後ろを気にしていなかったが、今回 はアイデンティティとなるような造形を施しまし た」という。
これはつまり、リアのバンパーのことを指している。今回のランエボXIプロトタイプのリアビューは、確かに ブラックアウトされたディフューザーを備えたバンパーが特徴的だ。
同時に気を使ったのが、これまでも採用され高い評価を得てきたレカロシート。いわく「乗りみ時など、サイ ド部分が滑るのでここに本革を使い、メイン生地 にアルカンタラを使うことでより機能性を高めると同時に質感も向上させました」。高評価に甘えぬ、とても真 摯な姿勢が印象的だ。
ほかのエクステリアでは、フロントバンパーを新型とすることで、冷性向上、空力特性も考慮されている。ま たインテリアでは、黒内を基調としてカーボン 調パネルをあしらったほか、機能性を考慮して新たに滑りにくいアルミ製ペダルを与えるなどもした。もちろん ここには、スポーティで質感ある空間を演出する という狙いもある。
こうしてランエボIXプロトタイプでは、よりアグレッシブなエクステリア、機能性質感向上を狙ったインテリ アが構築されたのだ。（つづく）

Does any of that Japanese writing admit the car is uglier than sin?
I swear, even hell would kick that car out.
As kickass as it is I couldn't stand walking up to that in a parking lot everyday or seeing it in my garage...ugh..did I mention I think it's ugly?
