I'm still trying to get my 90 vert home, and one thing scares the hell out of me. The garage I live in a rural area, lots of woods around, and I've seen mice in the garage quite often. I've also seen in the past what mice can do to upholstery, carpet, wiring, etc. I'll take what precautions I can, like covering the tailpipes to keep them out of there, but how on earth do I keep them out of the rest of the car? The cars going to be sitting for a while before I can afford another engine or a rebuild for it

You could throw a poison trail around the car.

I don't think you have way too much to worry about mice...Just roll up the windows and throw a cover on it. My dad's old 65 Mustang has been sitting in a warehouse building forever and that hasn't been a problem. What I'd worry about would be a wasp nest or something. Just don't let it sit without any sort of inspection or cleaning for too long and you should be fine.

my dad had an old maverick, kept it all closed up, and mice got in, chewed up a bunch of the wiring, part of the headliner, made a nest in one of the seats :[

I'm all paranoid now :[ my poor leather interior, lol

Buy a cat. Seriously. Just keep a cat in the garage and forget about it.

While my TII was sitting something made a nest on top of the air filter. Maybe you should shrink wrap it like a boat.
