So I spent a week, rented a couple sea kayaks and paddled up and down the coast of Croatia with a friend of mine.
Pretty darn sweet. National Geographic rated it as one of the best adventure tours in the world. It was cool, no doubt, but #1... ehhh... Ive done more adventurous. Croatia has 1300 islands along its coast line. 95% are uninhabited. Which is pretty cool if you want to just pull up to some island at dark and set up camp. The jagged salt rock can make it a bit tough sometimes, but it was still fun. We ran into a few problems, first being we left with no map and only a compass. We got lost in a few coves and went on the wrong sides of some islands. After 3 days of that, we found a city managed to get a map. Then my boat sprung a leak in the back storage compartment, which got all my clothes, food, electronics, etc wet. Bad news...lol So now im in Sarajevo, Bosnia ... this place is pretty crazy. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png for those interested in continuing to follow this adventure, you can see the picture gallery here http://www.travisarket.com/travis/images also, right now im in talks with a producer from the Travel channel about maybe getting something together later in the year. The angle is being an extreme adventure show. Luckily I still have contacts from the deadliest catch. So wish me luck https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png |
