I'm not 100% sure about this, but doesn't the word ****** come from negro which is a term for black people? There's plenty of names to call people which aren't controvercial, why not just call him a ******* idiot and keep everyone happy?

Just did a search, and they have actually changed the definition to ******, meaning a racist remark toward black people, which only a black person can call another black person. At one time however the definition was someone who was ignorant. And I can even recall a time when I was about 13 years old on the bus to school (on a black route with a black bus driver), and some kid called a black kid a ******. Well the bus driver even said the word meant ignorance and anyone could be a ******....so thats good enough for me damn it.

Fair enough I never heard of it meaning ignorant before, maybe it's an American thing?
On that note, I remember the mother saying she had a pair of what were referred to as ******-brown trousers when she was young. Tha's Ireland 20 years ago for you The racism wasn't so much due to hatefulness, but because there were literally no black people whatever racism existed was innocent misunderstanding. I suppose it's hard to explain
