Last night I saw a Roushe Mustang GT Police car it looked to have 315 wide rear tires and 245 fronts. No police markings - the red and blues were hidden in the directionals. = Wrong!!

Today I see this. A Chevy Impala SS police car with someone pulled over.

So, if they rev at you at a light and you race them is that entrapment?

From now on I have to see the driver of the car before I am running him.

That's what I always do. What are they gonna ticket you for exhibition of neutral throttle application?

I was talking about this with Mazdadrifter and I told him I would run and call the police on my cel phone and say I had a lunatic in a Impala behind me flashing his lights. I am afraid to stop he might be a car jacker.

Now keep in mind the officers interpretation of the law is not always correct, it's the courts intrepretation of the law that matters.

That said, my interpretation of entrapment and the cops interpretation is a bit different. My understatnding is, anything illegal activity that a person would not have otherwise engaged in without the aid of the officer is entrapment.

That said, in Washington, if you cannot see the officer at the time that he gives you the ticket then it's entrapment, but if you follow the officer at a speed above the legal limit, or race him it is not entrapment (go figure).

My guess is you'd be able to get a lawyer to fight it and win. I would estiamte over 50% of the tickets issued do not have a legal basis, but it's up to you to hire the lawyer and fight it. Personally I would rather give $250 to my lawyer then one time to the state in order to further encourage their harrassment.

They would tell you to drive to the nearest police station, then issue the ticket.

I've had a completely-stock-looking camaro chirp his siren at me. I'm cautious of any crown vic, monte carlo, impala, malibu, or camaro. Just always motion for them to roll down their window! (then ask for grey poupon if necessary)

When we had a cop killed, they had a procession of every car on the force. I was very surprised to see all the unmarked cars they had, it made me very nervous. All they needed was these little flashy lights that clipped onto their visors, and some temporary lights behind their grill.
