You only need 3 things to run the motor... Air, fuel and spark. Start eliminating those, one by one.

My car runs on beer.

Yeah the air/fuel ratio is way different when running tequila, I think you want around 6:1 - and also the worm might've blocked the fuel line, you should've checked that.

hmm few things to ask yourself:
a) Spark plugs, are they clean and producing spark? If so check continuity in the spark wires. b) Is the starter engaging the flywheel/flexplate or is the engine not turning at all? c) Is there any type of clicking after turning the key? With headlights on, crank the engine, do the headlights go all the way out or very very dim? d) Does it have gas? i got a few more but these are the starters....oh and here's the answers if any of the above things dont check out: a) if they are dirty get new ones, if the wires have no continuity get new ones. b) if the starter isn't engaging you need a new starter, or the starter isn't getting enough current/volts. c) if there is a clicking your battery is beat, if the headlights turn all the way off your battery is VERY beat. d) get some gas. kevin. |
also try looking into the car online, perhaps there's a common problem I know my old plymouth reliant beater car used to have a problem with the ground from the starter getting frayed and causing the motor to stop working.
