I went to the Mazda dealership to get some gaskets for my header I'm puting on. I ask the salesman when the 8 is coming in (not like I can get one), and he says May. Then I ask about the MazdaSpeed Protege, and he says they're not getting any, but I can drive the sport version. I get the gaskets, and go for a ride. Very nice, leather, cd, sunroof, large trunk, attractive display. He says, "You can speed up here a bit, there aren't cops until you get to the bridge." So I punch it, up to 70, I'm like, "it's doesn't even feel like your'e going that fast!" Look down, 90 mph. He says, "you might want to slow down, we don't want to get arrested today..." It was funny seeing him so nervous, but I slowed. We got on the interstate, and he showed me how to work the sport shift thingy. Takes some getting used to, but fun once you get used to it. It will stay in whatever gear, but will shift down to first when you stop. When working on the neato shifter, I liked to take the rpm's up high, but I could hear the tension in his voice building. Into the parking lot, talking about the shifter, he tells me that he used to rally race in Scotland when he was a kid. Cool guy. Just thought I'd share.

I like orange cars a lot...it's nice to see one on the market again.

 

I got excited when I got my copy of Newsweek yesterday. Anyway every week the editor gets a new car to test drive. This week was the new RX-8 :bigthumg: He only had good things to say about it!! But one thing he said is that it is better then the FD's. I am not sure of that but they still look clean!

 

I think they look nice.
