I got my futon at Wal-mart for $80 during one of my drunken shopping sprees.

Get a big tool chest first, you can use it as a table, and still store all the tools you'll be getting, until you can get a real table

Dude you gotta get those big wire spools, get 2 or 3. Then you have a poker table, night stand and dining table, yer all set.

BTW whatever happened to bean bag chairs?

Check out the Salvation Army stores or some kind of thrift shop. Any of those ones where people can donate stuff usually have some furniture back behind all the old clothes.

goodwill, salvation army...cheap stuff!

and the rule is, if you get a spool, you must have an orange road cone

when my dad first moved out after my parents got divorced, he had a couch with pull-out bed, and a TV on a milk crate. He pulled the mattress out of the couch and slept on it, so you sank down when you sat on the couch.

just go to garage sales, **** on the couches they have in the driveway and leave, they'll just toss them out later with a free sign on it , swing by pick it up, turn the cushion over and you are in business.
