came straight from japan.

it only cost me 180 cdn too... had a friend bring it back over for me.

Stupid thing scratches so easily, because the case is magnesium to save weight. It weighs less then my wallet.

The bad part about this is that it is play only. I have a seperate deck from my sound system to record but it only does it at 1X meaning to record a full MD i have to sit there or let it run for 74 or 80 mins till i get a MD out of it.

WOW, this thing rocks. I haven't gotten a chance to play with it yet, but it looks awsome. I got a **** load of stuff with it, like a car kit with a car remote, 2 carrying cases, and a bunch of other goodies.

I'd recommend this thing to anyone over an MP3 player.
wow mini disk...welcome to 98.

kevin.

How do you like that panasonic unit?

Yeah I remember when MD first came out, Sony was hawking it as the replacement for CD units. You could get prerecorded MD's and everything (still can if you know where to look)

I use my MD player for tons of other things, it's just too freaking nice. Makes really good recordings off of DVD's, pretty cool having the audio off of whatever concert.

Or just the audio of a movie if you're bizzare.

I love the TV Tuner feature of this thing, I can look at anotehr program while the commercial is running to the one I'm watching. So, no more missed minutes after commercials. I really haven't gotten a chance to read the manual and find out all of the things it can do, but I'm looking farward to that the most.

Right now, I'm happy with the purchase and I'm looking farward to tons of fun with this MD Recorder.

I'll post some good high-res pics tomorrow.
