well jim downing had the car in 2nd with about 15 laps to go, then some katz guy took over, and dropped to 3rd. They finished 3rd in 675. At least a podium.



the rotary was banned in 1992, but was unbanned a couple years later, mazda didn't come back for a while tho. I'd say there were some sour grapes. There has been a couple rotary cars here and there, but no major push like mazda had in 1991. Hopefully they will get back into racing w/ the rotary hardcore next year since there is a production rotary to promote.
