That hubless looks t!ts! I think the design IS flawed though...your putting a lot of strain on the link to the wheel just to keep it upright...the distance from the point of contact is doubling (from the center of the wheel to the complete other side) and you have a less solid connection. I wouldn't want to go ridin in the whoops! Smaller front tire would work but that would look stupid.

yea the front does look weak but the rear i think would be strong since the chain drive goes around the outer perimeter of the wheel

I think the main attraction (besides looks) is that if the contact point is at the bottom of the "rim," you can have a lower center of gravity.

Whilst they look pretty - very striking actually - they suffer from the slight draw back that they fail in every engineering principle you can apply to a wheel.

The rollerbearing and seal speeds are almost as high as the road speed.

The wheel is no longer a entire "structure" - relying on the bearings to prevent distortion.

rotating interia is much higher - bearing / seals / drive being almost at tyre diameter.

What channel is American Muscle Car on? I have not heard of it. There is American Hot Rod where they build pretty sweet cars but I have not heard of American Muscle Car.

Did anyone watch the American Hot-Rod Episode with the Swedish Intern?

That did a lot to bolster American Sweden relationships!
