We've banged around the idea before, the java chat applet is $49.95 is there any interest in a "Nopistons.com JAVA/irc chatroom"???

i think it would be cool...when i bust open my coke machines this weekend, i might send you enough money...who knows...so easy when you have the key :P

I think they tried that at the other place. It was nice, but no one was ever in there. Ill lay down $5 for one though.

It's been tried here a couple times too..... just tossing it out now as we have a few more people floating around!

How about MIRC its free ,right?

You would be able to use MIRC on the IRC channel. But the Java applet is encessary if it is going to get any use.



We already have a channel at newnet, we just need the JAVA applet so people will use it.... that's theory anyhow.

Depends on the version, speed and stability of the Java applet. Most of the chat applets pretty much suck, tho I have seen some good ones.

jpilot is the only one I would use, it actually works and you're right very few do...

it might be a good start....if its popular enough...shell out the $50 and get some advertising done

I'll check into it tomorrow, but I like the moderation features of the Jirc applet, even though it cost some cash it is prolly worth it in the long run.

That is actually one of the better free applets I have seen, i will play with it tomorrow some more, see if I can get it to work on Mozilla.

Actually the one Winger found is a pretty decent chat applet.

i checked it out and damn, for something free, it packs a lot of stuff and isnt too big in size either.
