Figure it out" after i reply to a thread under 1000cc injector on his power single turbo forum. he told his cusomter he is making 680rwhp with the AEM computer. my answer was that's is not possible. looking at his mod, i dont' think it even close to 680rwhp? go he sent the this email and banned my IP. what the hell is that about? |

I normally don't get involved in this ****, but as usual Jason feels compelled to ATTACK me and Nopistons.com.
Anyhow, that logic just proves that he is not a very good business man. If you have a business and you don't use every avenue possible to reach potential customers you aren't very "swift". That's like saying "You obviously aren't making any money off advertising on NBC if you also advertise on CBS" does that make any sense at all? |

I personally think it is sad that they have rooted themselves in a "It's us against every forum on the internet" attitude.
We have a great relationship with every other RX-7 related forum on the net and nothing bad can possibly come from that, seems silly not to tell someone to go www.whateversite.com because they are "competition". |

I think it's sad. Where I have no room to talk, I haven't done much of anything bad on that forum, but banning because you disagree with someone on what tehy did to their car in unbelievable.

Honestly, I don't know the full situation, so I can't comment on things that I do not know, but after reading this thread, I can see why you may have been banned.
Loi, from what I have read, English may not be your first language, and given your broken dialog within your posts, you may be at a high risk of being misunderstood. To be honest, I struggled trying to read your posts, and I became mildly confused regarding your argument. I can imagine how easily one could become irritated when trying to read poorly constructed posts, and hastily become biased toward the author. Perhaps your inquires, suggestions, or comments where misinterpreted as "breaking the rules" because your posts were seen as incomplete, and thus inaccurate at construing your true intentions. Each reader will construct their own interpetation based on what they think they have read, and what emotional state they are occupying. Frustration could produce a negative response from a reader. You reader, Jason, may be such a person, and unfortunately for you, contained enough power to act against you. If I were you, I would consider writing a formal, and complete letter (in your best formation of English) explaining your exact intentions. I'm guessing you may feel angry, and consider the rx7club as a waist of time, but I believe you must have found some value in the site to have signed up and participated. I also believe you deserve a better response from Jason if you truly were being misunderstood. But, if you were intentionally trying to attack his market place with slandering of his business practices, then I guess you got what you deserved. It is common practice for manufactures (such as AEM) to set suggested retail price guidelines within there distribution/dealer policy to support a mutually beneficial market. To sell to a distributor/dealer who’s intentions are to undercut competitors is usually viewed as an immoral business practice within most capitalistic economies, and I doubt any manufacturer would support such a practice. The only exceptions to this practice are within multi-billion dollar corporations where morality may take a back seat in support of earning more profits. I for one appreciate having both forum sites (rx7club, and nopistons) available. i just gave my 2 cents in it. thats all. when u get banned cause you have something on their forum for cheaper then they sell it, i find that to be bullshit, if he has the best prices, why doesnt he allow other vendors to post in there? isnt it all about getting the better price? i know for a fact theres a couple people that get away with selling their **** on that forum cheaper then jasons store. and jason doesnt ban these people who are sponsored by his competition because the post pics of the cars they drive on his website and he gets a lot of traffic in their posts. does that make any sense?

oh and suggested retail prices are set by the maker. but when u have the hook up u can drop that price a little, how do u think wal mart and k mart survive? i know where i work survives because we get better price breaks than other people selling the same **** as us

I remember there being friction between the founders of rx7forum, and rx-7fourm, which at the time looked identical, minus the posts. It seemed that the clone site was known for attracting the disbanded few, and quickly producing a divide. Like I said in my original post, I appreciate both forums, and there is more than enough room for more. If I am wrong, I sincerely apologize, and I retract what I said regarding this websites foundation. Like I said, I am not perfect. |
