Ok check it out. We are on the way back from Tokyo. Cop in the fast lane on a 2 lane highway doing 80 in a 60 zone. No one will pass him (get a ticket if you do) this BS goes on for about 20 mins and a Ducati comes up between traffic (thinks on *****) and slows down in front of me looking between traffic (thinking of going) well after about another 5 mins this guy just stomps on it and SMOKES by the cop, cops go after him ( i speed up with the cops since they are too dumb to even turn around) so we speed up to right at 100, this bike is now going about 200 and just hauling *** the cop, WILL NOT GO OVER 100. I just start dieing laughing (thinking what pussies) they can bust people that are just in a little hurry but very legite but they cant get some one thats doing 200 in a 60 zone???? WTF!!??!?!?



After he got off I was just thinking what he was doing is harassing people anyway, HELL he was doing 80 in a 60 zone to start with, so he is breaking the law to see if others break the law? WHAT BS!

Thats why Japan has fast cars, and the fastest bike (the cops just cant catch up) there must be some rule for regular police vehicles though since I have seen the police GTRs and NSX doing around 200-220.

most highway patrol officers ive talked to (friends uncle is one) and theyll try and stop bikes until they drop a knee while turning. if they do they just give up.

but does that mean that japan highways have a 60kmh speed limit...DAMN THATS SLOW

Yeah 60 is damn slow, but the normal is 100 since cameras are set for double the speed limit which is like a felony, so thats jail and license a go-go..



Eric Happy Meal--Fair enough. We dont really have HIGHWAY PATROL as per say. Its more like they are all Sherrif, police and COPs all in one. We do have Bike cops that dont fruck around and also the sports cars, I just think its BS for him to be on the freeway anyway and then not to even catch the guy he made us all sit in traffic for.

 

1&9 in jersey is a 2 lane highway and it has speed limits of 35 mph...

 

are you sure they are aloud to chase past a certain speed. i know that if you are on a street(not highway) going over 85 they cant chase you cause its to dangerous or something. havent tested this law out and not planning on it but i see bikes do it all the time.

 

i thought japanese police had FDs with the light bars on them.

 

No cop will ever catch a bike.

 

i concur. they dont chase them becuase itll most likely result in death.
