I would say you want EXCLUSIVELY the dealer to fix it and get a qoute from them. After that take the money and have some other stuff done. Im also sure in all the commotion you must have not noticed a couple other things that he destroyed when he hit your car. Hint Hint........

Ps why didnt you retaliate if you thought there was gonna be a problem? Im sure at the least you could have grabbed the squigi and used that as a weapon. :bigok:

Yeah it's an FC. The thing about it though is that the body is in great condition for a 13 year old car.

Joe can you explain a little more about the private matter thing? I'm not originally from Texas and don't know much about the law out here. I called my insurance company already to see if they knew what to do and they said that I need to call the kids insurance company and file a claim with them. Is this the way it needs to happen? If not can you explain to me what I need to do? Do I need a lawyer? Do I have to go to court or something? Any extra insight on this would be great. This way I can get my money and possibly buy a FMIC and a fuel pump. I figure the bumper can hold out for a little longer. Most of the damage is not visible ao I can hide it. Anyways let me know how I need to go about doing this. Thanks.

 

when my car got hit i did the following. got police report. from police report it tells you his insurance company. call them tell them you got it. they will ask you to fax it over. then they will send an appraiser to your house and send you a check

 

Sometimes they give bad appraisals though..

 

when i got hit in my protege...the adjuster came out and i got his price...but i told him i only get work done at my shop...knew the guys there....jacked the price up a bit. cash money in my hands

there is one thats like a fd gtc one with 99 spec lights in it, it dosnt look that odd..

 

NOTE:police report has or should have your name and address as well as his/parents. So if him and his boys tried to **** you up now, they still may have a chance to do so. get what I'm saying ?
