One of our cats always started yowling at 4 am. I nearly killed it on numerous occasions. It wanted food, but there was plenty out in the hall. I started putting a bowl of food in the walk-in closet in the master bedroom, which is where it sleeps. Problem solved. Lazy darn long-haired yellow furball!
