Back in NY, they call them both K turns and 3 point turns. Here in Iowa, they call it pop.

He has permission because his command of the English language is better than yours. It's poll, not pole. Maybe you were thinking about your boyfriend coming to visit you before you replied???

umm a U-turn doesn't involve stopping, it's one fluid turn-ing around motion.

idiots....

anyway it's called a K-turn by everyone in NJ pretty much. When i took my test he said "now go to the end and make a k-turn", my driving instructor said "now to practice k-turns", my little driving manual said "how to perform a k-turn correctly".

it's also known as a 3-point turn.

there's no "official" term, i could call it an x-turn because the motion resembles an x a lot more then a k, and i'd be right in my own fantasy land
