Broker is one who handles your account and looks for the best company for you.

The INs. company is the actual insurer for you. The broker gets a commision also known as "your independent agent".

All companys use licsenced broker because of the states laws.

If am wrong some will stomp me........

brokers are just people who find the best deal for you. You can do the same thing by just shopping around different ins. companies, but it'l save you lots of legwork to go through a broker and they might have an inside angle to get you a better deal than you would get by directly contacting a company.

yep go to the brokers, i actually work for one, well untill friday that is when i leave my job... anyway brokers sus you the best deal and then fight your case when you make a claim. makes it all real easy for you, and the good thing is it doesnt cost any more than going straight to the insurance company.
