I admit I am always amazed that people will admit their ignorance by asking wtf is ______. I am faced with similar situations at least once a day, but I will take the 10 seconds it takes to go to google (or urban dictionary) and do a search. Am I hyper-motivated? Am I brilliant? Or do most of you folks do this also?

Case in point: My wife started a new job this week as Director of Finance for an industrial concern. This morning she asked me the difference between a short ton, a long ton, and a metric ton. Hell, I didn't know, but it didn't take long to find out!

Let's face it, Al Gore is a brilliant man!

Hillary for President!

Save the whales!

Gun control is using both hands!

This property protected by Smith & Wesson!

I do the same, look it up real quick. It's the difference between sounding like an idiot and sounding like a genius.

I have horrible spelling and i've done my little thing enough to be able to spell check a word, with copy and past in under two seconds... Is this a sign that i refuse to learn but no one can see?
