Thats not always the case, at one of my jobs there was an illegal immigrant working there, he used his brothers SSID and ****.

It's not always that black and white.

And on a side note, I posted the maddox link becuase the picture is funny, not that maddox really makes any good points.

Oh so he's not breaking the law? It is ALWAYS the case that a person working in the US that doesn't have a legal right to work here is breaking the law.... period.

BTW, the lazy **** americans are the ones buying their cheap ass products, eventually there will be no one to buy all the crap we import and all the apples we pick by illegals as no one here will have jobs.

Wut made the us an ecomnomic power was it's self sufficiency, we didn't depend on any other nation for our survival, we've went from a country producing all kinds of products to a service related country that doesn't make much of anything and now we see those "services" being outsourced to other countries..... pretty soon there won't be anyone left working here to buy any of those services.

That guy's going to be plesantly suprised one day when he has a heart attack and the only people around him don't speak english because lazy americans were too cheap to take the same job and work well below the poverty level. But hey, his apple will be 10 cents cheaper and that will be comforting as he tries to remember wut 911 is in espanol. The reality is many of the illegals don't work harder then the citizen replaced, in a lot of cases the employer hiring them only cares that they work for less.

Dramon_Killer 05-01-2006 02:08 AM

And I never said he's not breaking the law and he speaks english, youre pigeon-holing every illegal immigrant into an uneducated unenglish speaking category. I was talking about from the employer's side about how they dont always know that theyre illegal immigrants.

Additionally, you say that us americans are too cheap to work below the poverty level...well, why would we work below the poverty level when we can live off of welfare and do nothing and get the same paycheck.

And we're going to continue to get outsourced in everything unless as a nation we can be more competitive. Blame everything you want on the mexicans and how they take all the cheap labor but we're starting to lag behind in the higher education side as well. India and China and other asian countries arent just cheaper in manufacturing.

phinsup 05-01-2006 02:18 AM

1) i didn't say americans are too cheap to work for low wages,, that is what the article indicated and it also indicated they wouldn't be losing their jobs if they would work for wages below the poverty level.

2) I didn't say all illegal immigrants don't speak english, I said to become a legal us citizen you should have to learn english. I can however safely say that a good percentage of the illegals picking apples don't speak english and I can back up my statement by saying that I only "pigeon holed" the illegals that are taking jobs below the poverty level..... if you think the majority of the illegal immigrants working for below minimum wage speak fluent english then you are mistaken.

Whether you speak english or don't the issue at hand is that this is a group of people who before they have even became a citizen of this country are showing NO respect for our laws, no argument that you can present can cchange the fact that an illegal immigrant is breaking the law, you simply cannot put a pretty dress and some perfume on that fact and make it look pretty.

You can't give me any circumstance where people who aren't citizens of any given country should be allowed to move to that country or even travel to that country and piss all over their laws, when you enter a country you agree to follow their laws.

If you want to move here legally, learn our laws and follow them, learn our language I welcome you with open arms.

I certainly don't think booting illegal immigrants will fix our economy, i very clearly said otherwise, outsourcing to china and importing everything as i mentioned has nothing to do with illegal immigrants and I never indicated otherwise. I do however believe that people who break the law should be made to pay the penalties and i can guarantee you that if we don't find a way to keep jobs here in the us we will eventually have no one making a wage good enough to purchase the cheap chinese crap made by prison labor under a form of government that we supposedly feel to be a threat to our "freedom" and yet we've managed to find ourselves in overwhelming debt to china while also putting them in the position to be one of the most economically powerful nations in the world.....

Dramon_Killer 05-01-2006 02:41 AM

WHEN DID I SAY IT WAS OK FOR ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO COME HERE AND BE ALL ILLEGAL AND ****? AND FOR A SECOND TIME I NEVER SAID I AGREED WITH MADDOX, I JUST THOUGHT THE PICTURE WAS FUNNY.

I just added to a few things, as "more to think about" and expressed how I really dont agree with the house bill.

"If you want to move here legally, learn our laws and follow them, learn our language I welcome you with open arms."

Once again, its not that easy to simply immigrate to America. I'm not saying come here illegally, but once again, theres a hugeass waiting list to get in legally which is part of the reason that we do have so many illegal immigrants. And what you said isn't really how the U.S. government does it.

Another thing is that a lot of the mexicans that come here must come here illegally because in mexico (like many 3rd world countries) when you are born you arent given identification documents. Therefor, you will never be able to prove to the US who you are. Which means you will never become a citizen, even if you just want to pick some apples for your family and pay taxes.

I'm not siding with them, I just know its not easy to get citizenship here, no matter who you are.

yea well it's difficult for me to afford a fancy new SUV, but it doesn't give me the ok to circumvent the law and steal one.

cymfc3s 05-01-2006 01:48 PM

If we deported all the illegals here in Tucson, the entire town would be deserted in the summer months

Not really a good comparison.
