most of the united states population is an inmigrant or come from inmigrants

if not just look at the history .

most of the western region was mexico , and most of the native americans are now gone

Illegal immigrants are a group of people who start off their life in this country breaking the law..... yes this country was founded by immigrants and they all learned english and they all learned us history as part of obtaining their citizenship.



We are the ONLY country in the world that allows non-citizens to take away jobs of citizens. I'm all for letting people in to the us that want to be a productive member of our society, learn the laws and obey them and pay their taxes, i'm against having someone who takes no time to learn our language, learn our laws and leech off of our already crumbling government and economy.

I say we just comletely block off the Mexico border, and set up guards to throw back any illegals to their side. They're showing no respect for our country.

I honestly don't know any economically feasible way to fix the issue, i do know that blanket citizenship and loosening the laws and their enforcement is not a viable answer.



I want people to come to this country that want to be a productive part, the system is fucked my buddy who has taken legal routes to get his citizenship has lived here, paid taxes, owns a home and a business has spent the last 4 years trying to get his green card, meanwhile some guy who picks apples 3 months out of the year, sends his money back to mexico to feed their economy and either gets a free flight home or unemployment and doesn't pay any taxes and doesn't speak english or know who signed the US constitution, doesn't know our who our first president was or for that matter what's legal and illegal get's to skip to front of the line because he takes a job no american wants (of course if they employer were to pay more we would want it).

The border patrol is called...minute men? I think thats right. Just a group of guys that watch for immigrants to cross to deport I guess. There is already some sort of fence somwhere thats something like 14 miles long...maybe longer I dunno. But yeah 2000 miles of wall is a lot. Maybe they should hire illegal immigrants to build it. Keep the cost down. But seriously maybe one solution is start busting down on busineses hiring illegals. Would at least help somewhat. No offense to any Mexicans, but when I was in the LA area a couple months ago I simple could not believe how many Mexicans were there. I didn't feel like I was in the US. And not so much that I was obvoiusly the minority, but because no one spoke english, all the signs were in spanish, ect... I'm with Phinsup on this one, learn the language and some factoids about the US if you want to be part of it.

Well, that page does make a good point, the company's hiring these people are breaking the law, the fact that both the company and the worker are willing to break the law and me the citizen is unwilling to be paid under the table, circumventing our tax, unemployment and retirement system doesn't make me lazy or complacent, it makes me a law abiding member of this country. There are many costs with hiring any employee legally, you have to pay Labor and industries, unemployment, ss, FICA, NONE of this is paid when someone is hired illegally. Who do you think pays for these people when they get hurt on the job, with no insurance, no L and I? You and I, the law abiding taxpayer.



The fact of the matter is, they are called illegal immigrants because they are breaking the law, there's lots of laws you may or may not agree with, but your disagreement in them doesn't give you any right to break them or aid in breaking them.
