The Playstation, X-Box, switching box, and Bose 1-2-3 system resides inside the box and the Digital Cable box resides on top with the 2 speakers and the wireless adapter for the x-box live.



The only thing I would have done different in hindesight would have been to make the setup less traditional. You really dont need to have your A/V gear next to the T/V anymore. It can be anywhere in the room. I would have put the A/V gear someplace else like right next to the couch.

its not plasma, its LCD projection, only 19" deep, 100lbs.



I sit 10' from my 41" sony I have now and wanted larger then 50 but smaller then 60, sony just came out with this model, its a brand new model 55", the cabinet on it is so nice, speakers look like they are hanging off the sides, glossy cabinet.



just having a hard time swaying away from sony for a DLP unit, I honestly cant see the difference and have a brand preference for Sony. Maybe a closer demonstration is in order.



problem is the furniture, takes 6-10 weeks to order unless I happen to find something sitting on the floor, stands for these types of televisions arent commonly kept in stock unless you want the modern looking stand Sony sells.



btw-anyone local want to buy a oak wall unit and 41" sony tv? costs $3500 new, will sell for $700

 

Videophiles will say rear projection > *. But I like the LCD displays better than plasmas.



BTW, the first pic of the TV on a stand looks the best.

Jim-Do you have any problems playing X-box on your plasma TV? Like shadows? Burned images? I have been told(most likely not true) that the frame rates of video games are way too fast for a plasma to handle. I just want to hear your problems on it(if any)?



Speaking of which, I just sold a 3000 dollar plasma TV today at work. We only have one left and it's the display. I am thinking of buying it for 50% off.

 

What other LCD or DLP rear projection units have you looked at?

I have no issues with the TV at all. X=box looks amazing on it. DVD's are crisp and sharp. I have no frame rate issues when playing games. The TV is showing no signs of wear and tear at all and we use the hell out of it.



I paid $2500 for it 2 years ago at Bransmart USA and I am no Videophile. I looked at the 5-8K ones for a minute looked at this $2500 Zenith and said when it is at home on my wall I will not notice the difference between the 8K one and the $2500 one. One of the problems with going to a store is you start to convince yourself you NEED the 8K one.



I have no regrets I love it.

 

your on crack if you think im going to spend $7500 on a projection television that I will watch 3 times a week.



The only thing that scares me about the plasma is when they first came out the display model in the store had lines running through it, I know the manager of the store for 12 years, I aksed him what was up with the thing, he told me it was broken and cant be fixed, it was delivered and installed by them, about a month later it had that problem and they gave the customer a new one and hung that one up for a display because it was worthless.



he told me its ok to buy it, but be sure to get the extended warranty, chalk it up to either being new technology or a bad unit



for where it is going in my room I dont need the advantage of a flat panel television.
