The cousin who was in a wreck got a compound fracture in her lower right leg. She broke both bones in half, sticking out of her skin and everything. She now has a permanent metal rod in her leg.
Cousin with broken hand broke her ring finger playing girls' flag football for her school. She's thinking of quitting (duh) in lieu of her blossoming volleyball career.
Her stepdad's mother had over 2 quarts of fluid drained from her lungs, and they found an inoperable tumor. They don't know yet how long she has to live. A complaint is being filed against her doctor for not assessing her condition sooner ("...the x-ray is on his desk for him to look at..." -for a week).
