Its no surprise that I'm addicted to them. Right after my Dad died i was drinking a 4 pack a day. THATS A LOT. I still like them, but have less money. I've discovered a way to get them at a cheaper rate. It involves some risk and a guilty conscience when you're done. Grab the 4 pack, and go to a self checkout. Pull the lower flap off the side, and scan one can, instead of the barcode for the 4pac. At our walmarts they have the option for Redbull to "skip bagging" at this point you just put it in your cart. There. 4 for the price of 1.

 

I can't say I approve, but money is very tight around here right now....

 

Thats all fine but when you get caught it sucks.



Just go to a sams club and get a case for $30

 

I'm broke ***...most people dont know they cost $2 a can, they see a four pack and see its on the receipt for $2, and assume the machine got the right one, and I can always claim ignorance that I didnt know which barcode it actually scanned.

 

At our Publix, you scan yourself and pay with the little machine, no person involved. I think I've accidentally stolen some fruit before, I can never figure out how to weigh it.

So how is this even remotely okay? And how is this any different than a heroin addict stealing to support his habit? Being poor is not an excuse to steal. And a shoplifting conviction is not going to help your financial situation.
