Well as of yesterday I'm going back in the Army. What really sucks is that I've been out so long, that I have to do Infantry OSUT training all over again. On top of that the Judge wouldnt drop my probation unless I at least tried to get through Ranger School. So there is 4 months of my life gone for basic and AIT, +1 month for Airborne, +2-3 weeks for air assault, +18 days for RIP, and then 6 more months of ranger school if I actually make it through RIP. My question to the Military guys in here is, if I actually by the grace of god make it through ranger school, should I spend some time in a Ranger unit? Or should I just go to another unit and wear my tab around? Either way I have a long road up ahead of me. One good thing is from being in training for at least a year I will finally have enough money to build a halfway decent car. Well anyway just thought I'd share my story, peace.

 

I don't get why you're going back? And what a judge has to do with it? Were you court martialed?

 

Im on probation for battery, The Judge has to drop my probation in order for me to get back in. And no, I wasnt court martialed. I recieved an honorable discharge. So basically I want to be off probation, and out of trouble with the law, so this is my only choice.

 

Oh, well that's crappy. At least when it's all over you won't have a record, and things will be better. Sorry to hear the outcome is less than perfect, but at least you're getting another chance!
