I'm climate changed fatigued

Everything is climate change this , climate change that...Everyweek a government comes up with some new initiative that reduces green house gases, no let me reword that, every plan they come up with somehow reduces green house gases. Even our municipal government now says that its christmas tree recycling program reduces green house gases over other traditional local methods. How does driving your tree across town to be mulched in a gas engine driven mulcher reduce green house gases over letting the tree rot in your own mulch pile, or burning it in your wood stove reduce green house gases. 6 of one half dozen of another. But according to the local municipalities, their program is the right thing to do.. hmmm...
Ok so the climate is changing, some say the science is irefutable now, citing Hurricane Katrina, yet this year the hurricane season was no where to be found. Parts of the climate are changind, but linking it to a man made cause is still a stretch. Most of the climate experts are pointing at solar flares as the reason for the changing climate, more than c02 levels...C02 is about number 4 on the list of actual theorized greenhouse gases, water vapour is the number 1 gas, banning either would mean banning life period.
Some may disagree with my opinion on the subject, but I find that often governments, activists, and politicians, just use the cause de jour like global warming as leverage to further agenda's and raise revenues, and nothing is really accomplished. Here in Canada, government programs are not based on how effective they are at stemming a problem or solutions, the effectivness of a program is guaged on how much money was spent. If they can blow 150 million or so, its deemed a positive win for the cause, even if it did nothing. On the local level it looks like its become a source of make work project for civic employees.
I am just sick of the platitudes and the selling of unrealistic activities/goals just to be "green" in the eyes of the public at unrealistic costs.
We all know, the problem will be gone in 5 years, and replaced by another..Like Global cooling, the global grain famine, acid rain, the ozone cfc scare, etc etc.

1. show me when the climate hasn't been changing. if humans are causing global warming, then how do oyu explain the ice age?
2. china is building enough coal powered power plants right now, that it would have offset the changes made in the kyoto treaty if anyone actually followed the kyoto treaty.
