I'd like to learn, but I don't have the time, or any musical talent whatsoever....
there's no such thing as "musical talent" when it comes to learning an instrument. if any 6th grader can learn to play an instrument, and a 4-year-old can learn the english language, you can plan music. I play the tenor sax and my wife play the piano and trombone. musical talent comes after you've learned your instrument, and want to improvise, write music, or do something creative (which is what I suck at, but I can play anything off paper).
then you have talent to play by ear (i guess), whereas if I were to try to play a song by ear, I'd have to try every note and write it down (assuming it's complicated, and not like 4 notes)
I myself hate playing solo, therefore after high school my playing dwindled...anybody else have that problem? my favorite thing was a quartet...we had a blast
