I have a friend of the family living in very small town in Texas. The biggest thing they have over their is a wal-mart that is about 25 years old. It is a farming town.

Anyways...She was driving her Expedition through one of the neighborhoods and gets t-boned by a Nun that just ran a stop sign. The SUV was pushed into the lawn of a nearby house with alot of damage to the side that she was hit.

The funny part is that for some strange reason Nuns and Priests do not have car insurance. I dont know why this is but its true. So they had to have the money sent from the Bishop in San Antonio.

Well she take the Expedition to the only shop in town to have it fixed with the money she had recieved. The Next day she reads in the paper that the shop burned down with her car in it. Once again the owner did not have insurance.

Since it is a small town she is friends with the mechanic and doesnt want to sue him. However she only had a couple more payments before the car can be paid off. And!! She cant afford another car.

What would you do in her situation? Remember....Their are less then 10k people in this town with only one mechanic.

Sue the mechanic, no doubt.

I mean, what other options do you have? It's their own fault for not having insurance! They should pay up!

It doesnt matter. It was her fault and insurance cant cover damage done by someone elses fault in this situation. She already tried that.

Naturally that's the first thing one would do in a situation like that.

Nah I just meant, wouldn't that be the first thing she would try to do? Get her insurance to cover the damage? You know what I mean...I just assumed that's what she would and since insurance won't cover it, she's exploring other options.
