wow , if only i had money..... lol
I would certainly have every gen, but I would go deeper with it, I would have every model of each gen, every year! And I would even buy an RX-5, oh yes.
i'd still have one, in fact, money would bring a place to put em all!
we just put 1040 miles on the 79, it happily ran @4200 and 90 miles an hour for most of that trip too, not bad for a 29 year old "unreliable" car

A bajillion dollars? I guess I would never get bored! I am eat up with the Mazda Rotary virus
My limitation is money, and if I had endless resources of it, I would most definitely have a large handful of Mazda Rotary models. This is what I would do first if I had a $bajillion.
A few hundred acres, build an exact replica of the Biltmore House in Asheville NC, one hundred car garage, and attempt to locate each rotary model that Mazda produced. I really have no interest in other company's rotaries, such as NSU,MB,GM and the likes.
I have always wanted a 787B, early 90's Cosmo 20B (the flagship), all the 7's, and a few other cars Ive always wanted since. Countach, ZR-1, 7 series BMW, all the top dog jap muscle cars.

cosmo was listed as one of the worlds all time worst cars
Obviously those people should be shot.
And Banzai reads Cosmo.
And I'd get another RX-2. I miss the one I had back in the 80's!

nope.... the FD was about the best bang for the buck for a track car when it came out... and still is. ... If i didn't have to worry about the bucks.. i'd find something better suited.
i know... i'm a bastard.

thats a long tradition at mazda, when the rx2's and 3's were new, you could put a header on em and go stomp on vettes....

Ok, if you had like....a bajillion dollars, would you still own an RX-7.
NOPE
once you got some seat time in a better car you would leave the mazda on the side of the road.
if you mean leave one in the corner of the garage for ***** and giggles, maybe I would
But I doubt I would drive it.
