um tII is the only american rx7 to come with a turbo (except 88 AE) and a savanna is a japanese model.

I believe the TII is the only turbocharged second generation RX-7 to come to the states.

The Savanna was a special edition of the second generation (FC) RX-7. It had some engine work done to it to improve upon the first generation engine: new intake plenum design, apex seals, an oil cooler, electronic ignition timing, stuff like that. It was manufactured in the early 80s, so before the TII was available.

I'm pretty sure that stuff's right!

actually savanna was in both first and second gen 7's (not sure on FD's though) and to my knowledge was a trim level offered in Japan and Aus, like SE, GTU, TII, and so forth here (not stating this as gods truth, so please don't flame me if I am wrong)
