my 1800+ works pretty damn good but the last intel machine i had a was a P3-550 that was a long time ago... i am sure i will not be dissappointed

Its not that i think they suck, its that they are pretty expensive and all youre paying for is the name.



of course thought, AMD has upped there prices quite a bit

well its alive and working. the asus board i got didn't support the 3.06 a newer version of the board does. oh well i bought an intel board works great

YEah, AMD and Intel are almost evenly priced right now. At least going by newegg prices.

Im not picky but i like my intel.



Im at 2.56ghz from 1.6ghz stock and the temps were the same as with stock cooler at stock speeds.



Kinda like the ford vs chevy thing, a matter of preferance at most.

Somehow that seems impossible to generate more power without more heat using the same cooling method.



Sounds like a mean system anyways though!

I said stock cooler, im on a volcano 7+ now.

Ok ok not the same but pretty damn close, like 2-4 degrees C difference.

I'll probably go for higher soon.
