ok so today my girlfriend told me shes going to south padre with some friends, and all of them but one back out and he happens to be a guy whos 10 years older then her...i got invited along but cant go....im thinking about a future with this girl and this is her last chance with me ever and weve been in love for years....im extremely uncomftorable with this situation...what do you guys think i should do...keeping in mind that shes a straight edge christian girl and hes a baptist lol

let her know how you feel, and let her know that you want your relationship with her to go somewhere, and that you think you two will have a great future. then tell her that you will wait for her, and say that you hope she respects your feelings.

assuming she's good-natured, and not a horny slut, and if she feels the same way about you, nothing bad should happen. she'll probably be glad to come back to you.

but be sure to stay real cool about the trip situation. you can say you're uncomfortable with it, but tell her it's only because you care so much about her, and you don't want anything bad to happen.

I don't know where I get all this advice from. I'm not too experienced in many relationships, just one good relationship. But you can learn a lot from watching where others' relationships fail.

I was inclined not to post to this thread because I don't know you, your girlfriend or this other guy at all but you have asked for advice so here it goes.

I agree with most of what Baldy has said. It is a good way to handle the situation. I would, however, not let the fact that they are religious people factor into this at all. And the following sentence is why I was not going to chime in. I have seen some of the most devout, religious people cheat on their spouses. My best friend was divorced because of this. I wouldn't let that factor into the equation at all.

I would however do what Baldy has said and make it very known to her how you feel and you may want to let her know that you are uncomfortable with the situation but you trust her to do the right thing.

Things should work out.

Be careful!

One wrong phrase is gonna push her away from you. Guess who's gonna be right there for her to vent/lean on?
