Glad you're ok man. How did the kiddos handle it?

I believe this is the second RX8 that has had a problem with side impact airbags in the last month. The other owner posted a thread about getting T-boned on the rx7 forum recently.
The kids were seriously nervous but over all they were ok. thanks for asking..

its good everyone is ok

if you were in a less agile car you might have ended up in

the back of the bus
your 100% correct. The fact that I have bonded with the handiling ability that this Rx8 has gave me the opportunity to feel confident in manuvering around the bus. The Rx8 did it's job. Before, and after the accident. I mean the car tried to spin like a record but it didn't. If it would have spun around, I surely wouldn't be here writting this story today. I will not sue but I want Mazda to be aware of the side airbag situation with my case.

Crazy story. I'm sure glad to hear that you and your family are okay. I guess you're all lucky that you can tell a rotary car exactly what to do and it'll listen.

might be a good thing the air bags didnt go off and get in your way

thus making it harder to recover from the slide.

even so, no one was injured. and no one even needs to bring up the ptsd bullshit. I'm sick of law suits, sick of the people that file them, and sick of how ******* lazy this country as a whole has become. people have no self pride anymore, they will happily humiliate themselves by going to court over pointless bullshit, all for an easy buck.

I do agree that mazda should fix the problem, and even to push it, MAYBE give him a new car, MAYBE. but this should not go to court.

mazda is handeling tyresmokin's very well, and I'm sure that they will do the same here.
I'm not saying I agree with it, but in the same thing...mazda won't just agree to the problem unless some type of legal action is taken because no money is at risk. If you threaten to take money away..that is when they get their *** in gear and start fixing things, but if everyone who gets in an accident gets a new car from them and doesn't bring about any type of legal action then mazda won't admit to the problem and fix it...and i agree with you...everyone is to quick to sue. I drive in NJ..have a perfect record..never gotten a ticked...and I pay 270 a month form insurance on a ******* focus...**** i pay 210 a month for the car
