Well here it is, a 1970 (1999) austin mini cooper S. I have to say that this thing is probably more fun to drive than the rx7. It turns heads like you wouldn't believe, everbody gives you the thumbs up and when you stop to get gas you get swarmed with people asking you questions about the car. Here are some pics that give you a perspective on the size of this car.

Oh and thats my co-workers fd beside it. I flew to florida and drove the mini back to NC, it gets about 60mpg.

Hey is that car rear or front drive? IN the last picture, the alternator look like is sideways like most front wheel drive cars are.

I stopped by a BMW dealer on Sunday to check out the Mini for my GF, they were closed though. People cant help but smile when they see a mini! Being as its registered as a 1970, can you get classic insurance for it? And was it hard to get a loan for it being as its registered as a 1970?
