It's a shitting time, 1 in 8 americans on food stamps, high unemployment, homelessness, etc, etc.. you aren't alone, not that it should make you feel any better.
I don't really have an answer, try to keep your chin up and your attitude right or you'll never make it out.
If it were me, $600 in unemployment I'd prolly have a garage sale and get rid of my ****, load up the backpacks and take the wife to south or central america and make that unemployment check work for me, but I usually give bad advice when it comes to being a bum... I quite enjoy it LOL

I have been laid off for a little over a year now & my unemployment was reduced to $260 a week, I don't qualify for food stamps because my wife makes $10 over the allowed income. I went from around $1300 a week to $260 & my wife took a pay cut to keep her job, so I feel your pain. It's a damn shame how things have got recently.

Last time I was on unemployment I stacked all my **** in my dad's garage and took off to Baja Mexico for a 18 months LOL Lived like a king, no rent, beer money.... ahh good times. As sad as it sounds I think some of the best times in my life are when I was the poorest... I know it sounds cliche, but then again I can be perfectly happy sleeping in a hammock on the beach.

You could always join the Air Force Reserve and get some extra money to help you out until you get a good job. You will also get a cheap health insurance when your not on duty. You will still be able to live in Miami. If you are worried about deployments you will only deploy for 90 days and will probably just stay on a large FOB and never leave the wire. It's just a suggestion. Good luck
