Hey Phinsup, Some aussie special models. All the earlier gen ones and twos were roughly the same as yours[rather under equipped compared to your similar models]. We got some really special models in our limited series[about 84 on - your Gslse - that were actually painted two tone. Yes there was a two tone blue and even brown!]We got a few 'Infini' Models which were the top of the line two seaters in 87/88. After great success at our 12 hour production races over here, Mazda had a limited run of 'Bathurst Type R' Gen threes. I Believe these got slight power upgardes, mags and spoilers added over the base model. We also got an 'SP' model of which only 25 made it to our shores. As far as I know it's a 'A spec' based model from Japan. I'm not sure if it's their top model but I know their quicker than the base model. I Believe the last model of Rx-7 that's being made is called the 'Spirit R', Limited to 1500 models, but will be a japanese domestic model only. Those guys over there seem to get a lot of fantasic cars that we don't get to see.

Also, I believe all 1st gen years (79-85) had a GS option...basically the S with a few things.(My '85 is a GS)
