you sure about that? I think that is the same as the 3.8 that has been in the mustang and various other fords for years, just with a little longer stroke to get it up to 4L ...... I might be wrong though
I'm not sure on the 4L, however that;s the case on the 4 cylinder and I believe the small 6 cylinder.

There's a 24 valve 3 litre and a 12 valve 3 litre I think one is Mazda and one is Ford, however I don't pay a lot of attention, my dad has had 2 Fords and ablosutely loved them, so I could really care less, we went to the Ford dealer first, they just didn't wanna play ball.

The only Ford I'd buy brand new right now is only available in the Australian market.

What other mazda vehicle would have that same 4L?
There aren't that I know of, then I again I don't really follow the Mazda piston engines. I just remember reading an article about ford deciding to go with Mazda engines in the Ranger's some years back, but again I don't really know or care. The tribute, which is Ford produced uses a 24 valve 3.0 litre.

Of course someone was telling me the Mazda 3 was based off the Focus last week, I dunno

It's true...

Ford Focus = Mazda 3

The only non-rotary engine im interested in mazda sells is the Miller Cycle V6 in the Millenia-S. That is one sweet piece of engineering...and unique...even more so than the rotary id imagine.

Actually in the small truck market the Fords have some damn good towing numbers. LIke I said before my dad's had two f-150 and had over 150K on them never having done anything but change the oil, no tune ups, nothin. He just did breaks on his 98 a few months ago.

Until the 2004 model year apparantly they were exactly the same, this year some things changed, the hood, grill and front fenders are different and the interiors are different. Of course color options and Ford doesn't actually offer a config exactly like this one.
