I think hard disk has storage space as a giant pro...maybe also sound quality. Flash mem is less expensive at first, but you'll need to keep buying more to get to a hard disk's storage size. In other words: if you know you'll have a ton of songs that you want to stay on it at all times, go with a hard disk. If you don't mind switching out memory for different sets of songs or having a more limited space to work with, go with flash.

I actually did a bunch of research on it, as of the moment it seems to be the best thing out there. (for price, storage, and flash memory)

Makes you think what we'll be listening to in the future. 6 years ago I paid €270 for one of the first mp3 players in Ireland, a Sony which was the smallest in the world at the time, and had the largest capacity of 64Mb. Now we have this which holds over 60 times that, is half the width, has a battery that lasts 10 times longer and is slightly cheaper to boot. What will we be using in another 6 years?
