My Mini has a 6 speed and my Audi has a 6 speed. I tried to shift to 6th in my RX-7 doing 140 MPH on I-75 in Miami.

Now I have no reverse.

Dammit!!!

I am so used to driving my Mini w/ its 6 speed I have found my self trying to shif my RX-7 to 6th.

This time I did damage. This was the backup tranny so I guess I better get things moving on the main tranny. We knoew this tranny would let go so I am not suprised. It has whined since the day I got it.

Maybe your car will gain power having no reverse...like an electric r/c car...

you need a positve lockout thing! or a 6 speed. reverse lives in the tailshaft, so if 1-4 still work you can prolly fix it without ripping the whole thing apart

mazda miata 6 speed...although youd need to beef the **** out of it considering your hp and apparently your rather creative approach to shifting...
