I will not go into what is invested nto mine to date.. its scary.

I just dropped:

$800+ for 4 Hoosier Slicks

$1200 for a brand new Mazda TII tranny from the factory that has never been installed in a car.

$300 for a new rear hatch with lexan window

The tranny money I took from savings.

The rest is on the Visa card to be paid off slowly over time.

Its like being addicted to crack except 10X more expensive.

my guy charges $350 to rebuild a tranny and even gives it a warranty, $1200 is kind of crazy no?

btw- thats from a shop 20+ years in business, not some guy in his house.

This is a BRAND NEW tranny still in the plastic from Hiroshima.

It would cost over $3K for this tranny I am sure even with my Mazdaspeed discount I would be more.

I am having Just Racing Fabrications in Port St. Lucie build me an endurance racing style tranny right now. Parts alone (From Mazdaspeed with my discount) are running close to $800.

I dont know how you're friend is rebuilding that cheap. My rebuild with labor will run close to 2K.
