So today I had a check ride, the final flight with one of the chief flight instructors at the school before I fly with the FAA to get my private licence. Everything was going really good, I was flying like a madman. But it all came crashing down when I stalled the plane during slow flight. I even had the airspeed I needed, but the damn thing stalled anyways. First time I ever stalled during that manevuer too. So I failed the flight test and will have to redo that part of the lesson. Next, after getting back to the airport I have the oral exam. I am answering question after question, since I do know my ****. I get stuck on one question and end up getting it wrong. Well **** me, cause come to find out I can't miss anything, doesn't matter how many questions he even decides to ask me. So I fail the oral part as well. Total bullshit on the oral part. I miss 1 question out of about 20 and fail that part too. I've been so pissed off at myself all day long.

That sucks, but you'll make it happen the next time around.

So, did you recover from the stall quickly?

I mean, really, stalls happen, I would think it would be more important to know how to recover from one rather than avoiding one all together.

Thats why we have bad drivers today. No one knows what to do when the car does something it wasn't supposed to like a skid.

Dont let it get you down. Your in one of the toughest Flight Schools in the country.

When I worked at the airport I saw many many people fail their checkout flight.

Yeah and if the guy asks you if your think your can "do it". Say "HELL YEAH". My cousing passed his flight and passed his oral, but when the guy asked him if he was ready, my cousin said "well what do you think?" The guy made him take the oral over because of it.

He's a dumbass tho.

Oh I recovered just fine. We do stalls so often it just comes natural if it does happen. I knew a few seconds before hand it might happen. The controls got mushy all of a sudden, and away she went before I could get the nose down and increase my speed. The guy even said the turbulance is probably what got me, everything was fine up until that point.

If the question was; "Do we straife civilians on Sundays?", I'm kinda glad they placed some importance on that one.
