lol

believe me, i am not trying to get fired again.

you know what my hardest part of the interviews I have been to lately were?

Trying to be vague about why "they let me go"

some interviewers have pressed on and on, and I would have to find new ways to dodge and change the subject...

I ll take a few and pour some on the floor when no one is looking, and dedicate it to the people who aint here now...

Ok, I'll bite, why did they "let you go"?

Believe it or not the last two companies I have worked for went out of business. The first one gave us free pop too. They ordered Welch's Grape special for me. Watch out when they get rid of the free pop. That was the first sign of their impending doom. I had some fun with that one in the interviews... Fortunately the new company is 40,000 employees strong. Hopefully it will not suffer the same fate as my last two employers.

you know why i got fired?

i sent an email to 2 co-workers and a sup who were around my other co workers machine....watching that stick figure Ziayo Kung-fu matrix Flash movie.

I go, hey lemme send you guys the site that has the whole collection. No objections from anyone.

Stupid freakin lotus email populated an address of the sup with the one of the building manager instead. he must have said something to the contracting company, and the contracting company must have panicked, so they fired me under 'improper use of assets'

my first warning, offense, or whatever of anykind, which resulted in my termination.

them bastards.

i should have paid attention to the signs of the company being extremely ****...

there were times where I may have done something under the orders and advise of an ACTING SUP because there was not a real SUP there...and because i was a contractor, i was not allowed to make my own descisions..and you know what happens? the person on the phone lied about me or over-exagerated, and all of a sudden, its all my fault, when infact, i was acting under the advise and orders of the acting sup...

when the company makes these promises to you like 'oh youll get a paid day for comming into the biggest snowstorm in NC for two years and risking your life to get here', when the regulars dont even have to come...and all you get is two movie tickets, somethings wrong.

when you tell the programmers of a new program that they tout (which was like one new ticketing system a year which they try to stand behind, when its crap) that there is a flaw and it affects your eyes because of the mandatory detailed resolution that wont show up on your puny small monitor, then theres something wrong...

i can go on and on, but fuckem...im just chillen out now

i am just amazed, because I worked harder than a lot of regulars there, and i was not properly compensated or treated very well.. days before the termination, i was told by my manager that i was doing an excellent job, and that I was able to successfully jugle my duties as well as my extra project, which the main manager assured to his managers that our team could handle it, and turned out that out of our team of 10, only me and another co-worker, also another contractor, were able to get it done.

I was hurt because I am a hard worker, and I was termmed over some B.S.

but thats the way things go I guess, and thats the way the get done nowadays at a so-called big company, where no one knows what the other one is doing..and for whatever reason, still recieves high stock prices..( i smell an enron/MCI here...just watch)

That does suck. But I think they have more stringent (sp?) rules about what you should be doing for contractors. Like me, I'm salaried, I can do whatever the hell I want provided my work gets done. I could work 30 hours and then leave for the week, and goof off all I want, assuming my work gets done. Since you are paid hourly on contract, you are expected to be working those hours, not goofing off. So I can see how they would be mad. However you should be given a warning or something, not fired on the spot.
