I have the entire perimeter of the basement 3' higher then the rest, its like 3' wide with one area like 15 feet wide, the only thing in the lower part of the basement was my washer and dryer- which I put on blocks, and my oil burner, which is mounted 1' off the floor, so those things didnt get wet. Just some odds and ends that didnt matter if it got wet.

Now when the water stops trickling up from the ground I can look forward to scrubbing it clean. Its still trickling this evening even though it stopped raining, the tide comes up and the water level comes up with it.

thats the link to the fools who think they will beat the mcDonalds Monopoly game by posting what pieces they have and finding someone else who has the matching piece.

like hellooooooooooooooo!

Frank- its not evil water, its living where there is no elevation and being 2 blocks from the water, the water has nothing to do with it , its just there is no place for the rain water to go because the ground is so saturated, Mike thought it would be funny link though, lol

they call that building a house on a slab, basements are handy, especially when you need to work on your wiring or your plumbing, its also a nice place to put your oil burner and washer/dryer

as well as car parts
