not a whole lot if you stick the engine in the back and put a whole new fiberglass front end(all of it), and sit as far back as possible. lol

Skip the insurance man, it's too expensive. Just don't lay it down. Besides, chances are if you do, you just died so screw the loan.

ahah, yeah i plan on getting pulled over alot so i must have insurance, i hope by then i won't crash/lay it down either. I already layed my dads bike down, but he crashed it like a month later so i don't feel bad. Hes fine though.

check with the right insurance company. State Farm is GREAT for sport bikes. they don't go by the bike only the engine size. So a POS harley w/ a bigger engine is more than the newest sportbike. As for not laying it down, there are 2 types of riders-- those that have gone down and those that will. Still they are more fun than any car could ever be.

Is insurance mandatory in MN? If so, just regitster it somewhere that it isn't mandatory. It'll save you a ton of cash.

Even if you're a good rider, you're still gonna lay down/drop the bike no matter how careful you are.

edit:

1Revving7:

I would suggest a more simplier , not so fast bike.. if it's your first time riding / owning one.

Maybe a sv650, 500R ninja, etc.

If you don't want to have to pay for fender damage and so on, I would suggest to get a naked bike. Whether or not you think it looks ugly, it's on your safe side that you don't have to pay for a new fender, etc.

Oh, another suggestion is, plan to buy a used bike.. cause you WILL drop it. No matter what anyone says, or how good you are, or even how long you've ridden a motorcylce.

I, for one do not own a motorcylce, but I will soon. I'm gonna try and buy a used sv650 - naked.. cause I know i'll drop it ...

hehe, good luck tho on the 954 RR. Those things are quick.... be sure you know how to handle it, without jumping on it first , just because it's fast and looks good

Just being safe for you.
