I was a Bit Dissapointed Today....

So I went to the DMV to get my driver's license this morning and was amazed that out of the 40 people that got licenses while I was there NOT ONE signed up as an organ doner.
I simply do not understand, I guess I should preface this by saying that my father has a transplanted kidney and I one day will need one myself. When I am dead and gone the fact that someone could have a new life, productive life, god knows what they could accomplish because of an organ pulled from my dead carcass is about the only good thing that could come from my death.
What's the philosophy behind NOT being an organ doner?

I'm a donor, but they always forget to put it on my license, so I have the red sticker. Any time it wears off, I'm eager to get another sticker. Heck, if I'm not using my pefectly fine organs, I don't mind giving them to someone else.

More than 87,000 people are waiting for the gift of life
Each day, about 70 people receive an organ transplant. However, 16 people die each day waiting for transplants that can’t take place because of the shortage of donated organs.
