**** cali has diff dmv rules, car has to be registered every year whether you use it or not!

get a notorized paper that says you sold the car.

I have gotten out of alot of crap with those, especially for cars I forgot to turn the plates in on when I sold it.

report it stolen, get it back, and if he comes back for it make him get it registered before he can take it home. just my opinion, but someone did it to me once, and it def. worked, but i bought the car from cali and brought it back to va, then forgot to put it in my name. so i kinda deserved it, considering i forgot i bought it.
