Husky tools
I have a Husky 3/8 ratchet that I got for a gift awhile back. The gear started failing on the ratchet, so I headed to home depot for a replacement. Turns out Husky policy is to send the tool back to some place in FL and wait for a replacement, but only if you've filled out the registration card. All I did was tell the hardware guy that I needed the wrench replaced and I couldn't wait. He said, "ok, let me call my boss and get you a new wrench." His boss cleared an exchange, but they didn't have any standard ratchets in stock.. So the hardware guy gave me a top of the line pro wrench instead- straight trade, no hassle, no haggling! Took all of about 11 minutes to get the new one. Oh, and the new one has a 72-tooth gear (5deg swingback) and a tiny itty bitty little head to fit into tight places. (Haha, that sounded really funny!)
Or you could have bought a snap-on and avoided the whole returning thing in the first place
I used to buy all crapsman, then i started making a living with my tools and realized running by the god damn sears store every night on the way home was a ****.
That said for current porpoises i stick wit crapsman as i cant warrant spending the green on strap-on
i said good day

True story: My bro and I go to fix some locks on a few cars in a large Body shop out here in south LA.. Mac tools guy pull up in the truck, like usual, goes inside to see what the guys in the shop need today.. Like 5 minutes later he comes back in.. "has anyone seen my truck?"
Apparently someone managed to steal his truck in the like 10 minutes he was in the shop.

Haha! I suppose if I made a living off my tools I might be inclined to use something a bit more expensive.. The fact of the matter is, if I upgraded to snap-on my costs would be 5x. Instead of having $10k worth of tools, I'd have $50k. Not really worth the investment!
absolutely man..
i understand where you are coming from..
i got the snap on box because i open and close the drawers 100 times a day 5 days a week, and they're all packed with tools.. so the box has to be able to handle the weight and open and close without effort.. and it does.
i have high class tools for stuff i use everyday.. and the oddjob stuff i have to do once in a blue moon i buy junk tools because they will still last me a long time and they're way cheaper.. and they get the job done
it's all about frequency of use..
