We had a small sailboat that was here supposedly for a month, owners were from some other state, it sank. Prolly only a $1500 boat, but still a shame. It has yet to calm down, but it stopped getting progressively worse about an hour ago.

Thats no good. It really hasnt hit up here, Started getting a little rain late last night but not even as much as a tipical fl storm. Winds gusting a little this morning but its still pretty light. But i hear its coming back on us? That'll be great i'll end up in lock down in a hospital yet.

Well, i finally passed out about 4am this morning, which ended up being almost 48 hours without sleep. Around 2 am last night things at least stopped getting worse, by about 4 am there was a little improvement and the rain had stopped. We are still seeing 35 knot winds as I type this, Fay just won't ******* go away!

Surveyed the damage, i had a few scrapes in the boat where the dinghy collided when it broke free, nothing major, just fucked up the gelcoat a little. We managed to stay off all the pilings so there was no damage there. The boat one slip over (we have an empty slip on both sides of us) was rubbing the pilings all night, i was worried, but I could not get off the boat to try and get some extra lines on it, there was 5 foot swells rolling through the marina and I just couldn't safely get off the boat. Anyhow, I checked it this afternoon and luckily it just tore up the dock, not the boat, it basically cheese grated the pilings and did no damage to the boat.

I'll take some pics of the sunken boat tomorrow.

Best part about it was it wasnt a Hurricane at all, just a Tropical Storm. It was a bitch though, I lost power 8 times so far.

It's supposed to head here next, but I'm sure it'll be just an oversized rainstorm by then.

I'm not so sure, it's basically stalled on top of us, it may break up and go nowhere, we'll see
