a customer who lives an hour and a half away came to pick up his car from the service department, but the service writer didnt bother to bring the keys up to the top for a light night pick up. (the dept. closed at 7 and he got there at around 8 or so) now he was told that the keys would be up here and all of that good stuff. but they werent, so he had to make the 1.5 hour trip for nothing, and then spend another 1.5 hours coming back home. (he was semi-old and his wife was hot)
Uhh, so none of the people still there at 8 could be bothered to get his keys for him? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

service department (where all the keys are) closes at 7. you cant get in there without the key, which none of the salesmen or sales managers had.
thats dumb, they should have keys to that crap
new management is needed. that is really shitty customer service, and I would want compensation for that.
^^^^
Agreed |
Yeah someone should get fired for that ****. Our managers have have keys to every door in the whole building complex, plus, all the Building and staff supervisors have keys to every door as well.
We had a porter on our staff who was supposed to get a sold car to service for a battery change. Instead he just put the car on a charger. The customer drove away and called us the next morning because his car wouldn't start, funny **** is, he was 300 miles away from the city. The porter was fired as should the dick that failed in your situation Eric. |
BTW, Kia makes very shitty batteries. About 15% of our new stocked Kia's need a battery replacement before they can be sold.
I would have called up the service manager at home and made his ass come in and give me my keys
or at the very least a loaner car so I would not have to inconvience someone to drive me back the next day |
yeah thats just sloppy on the service writers part, BUT YOU NEVER GIVE THE SALESMEN KEYS TO ANYTHING.
you like the kia, srce? fun stuff https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png i remember the ford pickups they had wheels that were cast so bad they didnt hold air |
Actually, it's not just Kia. The brand new (in '89) Mazda 626 I bought was delivered with a (nearly) dead Panasonic crapass battery. The new replacement (also Panasonic) lasted about 2.5 years before it too joined the shitpile. Then I bought a real battery.
And yes, if I drove 3 hours for nothing I'd probably be spraying bullets with my Uzi. |

How do you drive yourself to pick up a car?

rental car |
yeah they had a rental, and they got put into a new one to come back later.
3 hours is a long way to drive for nothing. i would have gotten a hotel room with my hot wife because apparently women get freaky when at hotels
oh and bc i wouldnt want to drive an extra 3 hours
I would demand that the dealership send the car to me.
Wait nevermind I have friends that work at a ford dealership and i have seen how they drive the cars. No ******* way I would let them drive my car that distance. |
i get freaky with myself in hotels.
I wouldn't have left until I got my car. I can be a real dick and I would make sure they did something to get my car like call the guy to bring the keys. If they guy with the keys works ther then he has less of a drive than I would to drive 1hr 1/2 to go home and then come back the next day.

pics of the wifey

we called the two closest service advisors and neither of them answered.
oh yeah, i tried to call the service advisor who was supposed to do it, but she wasnt listed in the rollodex, so no luck.
